Just a week after a domestic helpers group’s Facebook page was abuzz with talk of an alleged predator who lured Filipinas with a job offer until he got them to bed by hook or by crook, another woman has disclosed she’s got pregnant by one Mr Tsang.

Her disclosure comes also a week after another Chinese man, also named Tsang, was revealed by another pregnant Filipina as the father of the child she is bearing.

The woman, a single parent who came here four years ago to work as a helper, said in a letter to the Domestic Workers Corner FB page that she is three months pregnant and has lost contact with Tsang.

The unidentified woman said she met Tsang in August when she started visiting a dating site via an online application where she had met many male Chinese chat friends.

She was particularly attracted to Tsang, who asked her in their first encounter if she was a trade (prostitute). When she replied “no,” the man said “sorry” and told her most women in that dating app were sex traders.

The Filipina said the man asked for her phone number, which led to frequent chats and videocalls on whatsapp. Those contacts made her fall for him.

They finally met and dined in Mongkok East, then went to a cinema at Langham Place, now Cordis Hotel, where the man told her he loved her and she reciprocated.

Magkahawak kami ng kamay habang naglalakad, na never ginawa ng mga past relationship ko. Mula noon nag-deactivate na ako ng dating app ko kasi nag-focus nalang ako sa kanya,” the letter sender said. (We held each other’s hand, which didn’t happen with my past boyfriends. Since then I deactivated my dating app and focused on him.)

The helper said they had sex at first sight, which was followed by several more trysts.

Opo, may nangyari po sa amin sa unang pagkikita namin, hanggang sa nasundan na ng nasundan, hanggang sa hindi na rin ako dinadatnan kasi wala naman kaming ginagamit na condom. Three months na akong delayed,” she said. (Yes, we made love in our first meeting and met again several times until I no longer had my period because we didn’t use condoms. It’s been delayed for three months.)

Worse, she could not tell Tsang about his pregnancy because she lost her cell phone in Shatin some time ago and could not recall his phone number, she said.

The helper said she shares her experience on the DWC page because she read a week ago the confession of another letter sender who claimed she had been made pregnant by a certain Mr Tsang. She said the two Tsangs could be one and the same.

DWC members who read the woman’s letter advised her to keep the baby, saying it was a blessing, and told her to try going back to the dating app to check if Tsang is still using that site. He may be looking for another victim, they said.

“Who knows he may be looking for you also,” other readers commented, holding hope that Tsang is also desperately trying to contact her.

One reader said that the woman should not be blamed for what happened because her only mistake was she fell for the man.

“Magpakatatag ka, (Be strong) sender. Baby is such a blessing,” said Ivy Alquiza Calagday.

She added that if Tsang is the same man mentioned by another pregnant Filipina last week, then the letter sender should know what to do.

Other commenters mocked the woman for going to bed with the man in their first meeting. Others criticized her for not learning a lesson from the father of her first child.

Facebook warning against 'Hang Hau Man'

'Some readers were also reminded of a man who, for about a decade, had been hanging out at Hang Hau MTR station and offering a job to unsuspecting Filipina helpers.

The man, who uses several names including Martin, Gordon, Mr Poon, Yara, Kenny and Achilles, reportedly hunts for prey on a dating site, Baidoo, or goes around MTR stations in Tseung Kwan O and Yau Tong in East Kowloon, and as far away as Shatin.

Tunghayan ang isa na namang kwentong Dream Love

According to his alleged victims, he would approach groups or individual Filipina helpers and ask whether they know of someone who is looking for a job because he needed one to look after his child and do basic chores.

He would then invite interested applicants to his flat for an interview that would end up in a forced or consensual intercourse.

The police are asking the alleged victims to come forward and file a complaint, while the Consulate is warning Filipina workers to avoid going with strangers to their flats as unexpected things could happen.
