The first charge of “making a false statement to an Immigration
Officer,” arose from her statement last March 20 when she was applying for an
extension of stay, that she would work for a certain Choi Pu Kai as a domestic
helper.
“… you did make (the) statement knowing the same to be false
or not believing the same to be true,” the charge sheet accused Mantos.

lie to an Immigration officer at the departure area of the HK International
Airport.
Acting Principal Magistrate Cheang Kei-hong meted on Mantos a
six-month sentence for each of the two charges, but reduced both by one third
to four months due to her guilty plea.
With three months of the second sentence running at the same
time as the first, the resulting sentence was a total of five months.
