A post-screening talk will take place immediately after the film, featuring the film’s director, Roi Paolo Calilong, producer Rossana Hwang, and lead actor Jaime Fabregas.

The light-hearted film tells the story of three priests from 1872 who mysteriously land in the year 2024.

“Clad in old-fashioned garb and swept into the chaos of modern life, they navigate a whirlwind of ukay-ukay fashion, time travel mishaps, and unexpected adventures. Along the way, they encounter a colorful cast of present-day characters—ordinary people whose lives are touched and blessed by their presence,” the film’s synopsis said.

The event is organized by the Cultural Section of the PCG, with invitations being sent out in the name of  Consul General Romulo Victor M. Israel Jr.

The film is one of two Philippine movies shown during the month-long ASEAN filmfest, with the multi-awarded "Thy Womb" which stars the late National Artist for Film Nora Aunor, being screened on Aug. 17.

Now on its third year, the ASEAN Film Festival is a collaborative effort between the Hong Kong-ASEAN Foundation, the consulates-general of 14 countries, and various sectoral partners.

More than 20 acclaimed films from various countries, including those in ASEAN and four Belt and Road countries - Egypt, Hungary, Kazakhstan and Turkiye - have been lined up for this year's festival, which aims to foster cross-cultural connections and people-to-people exchanges.
