A 19 year-old Filipino male was reportedly arrested at about noon on Friday after he allegedly used a pair of scissors to intimidate and attempt to assault people on the street.
According to reports,
police arrested the accused outside Kornhill Plaza in Quarry Bay after he
brandished a 17-cm long knife and tried to scare and assault passersby before
boarding a bus to flee.

Alert witnesses called
the police who then arrested the suspect at a nearby bus stop on suspicion of
possessing an offensive weapon.
He remains in custody
for further investigation.
