Stealing 11 pieces of jewelry has brought a Filipino domestic helper 10 months imprisonment.
Ritchan De Guzman, 35 years old, pleaded guilty today to theft,
contrary to section 9 of Theft Ordinance, in a hearing at Tuen Mun Court.
Magistrate David Chum handed down the sentence after
deducting the usual one-third discount from the starting sentence of 15 months,
for the gulty plea.

A police complaint said that between Sept. 12, 2025 and Feb.
7, 2026, she stole three gold necklaces, one gold bangle, one gold bracelet,
five pairs of earrings and one white gold coin, the properties of male Lee
Wang-yan.
The theft took place at the employer’s flat at Oi Tao House, Tin Oi Court, on Tin Shui Road, Tin Shui Wai, New Territories.
