The man, who was asymptomatic, was the fourth patient to have been found with the virus in the past few days despite receiving two full doses of a Covid-19 vaccine. The vaccines used with the three other patients were Sputnik V, Sinopharm and BioNTech.

The woman from Bangladesh is a domestic helper who arrived on Jul 14 via Qatar Airways flight QR818 from Doha, the CHP said. She was also asymptomatic when she submitted her specimen on the third day of quarantine at Silka Seaview Hotel in Yaumatei.

The CHP said there are about five preliminary positive cases that are being investigated.

The Hospital Authority said as of 9am today, a total of 29 confirmed patients were being treated in nine public hospitals and the Infection Control Centre in North Lantau. One of them is in serious condition while the remaining 28 are stable.
