The defendant was also charged with stealing the helper’s Samsung mobile phone in the same unit on Jun 19. In all, she faces 10 counts of common assault, two counts of assault causing bodily injury, and one count of theft.

No plea was taken from her, and the case was adjourned until Nov 22. The court was told the defendant plans to hire a private lawyer.
The magistrate extended the defendant’s $500 bail until the next hearing and ordered her to stay at her given address and not to contact the prosecution witnesses.

Police arrested the female police officer on Jul 6 for suspected “assault causing actual bodily harm," and was subsequently suspended from work.
The case was handed over to the Regional Crime Squad of East Kowloon for follow-up, and the mobile phone confiscated from the helper was recovered.
