People who are planning to go out for a stroll or a day out tomorrow are well advised to keep an eye on weather updates as the Observatory said it might issue the Standby Signal No 1 anytime tonight.
This is due to a
tropical depression over the central part of the South China Sea which unexpectedly
started to move west towards Hainan Island throughout the day, while maintaining
a distance of more than 600 kilometres from the city.
