A Filipina who posed as a domestic helper when she applied for a visa extension, has pleaded guilty at Shatin Court to two charges that resulted from lying to Immigration officers on two occasions to obtain permission to remain in Hong Kong.
But Acting Principal Magistrate Cheang Kei-hong put off the
sentencing of Annabelle Isidro, 57 years old, to July 3.

She pleaded guilty to the first charge of “making a false representation to an Immigration officer lawfully acting under or in the execution of Part III of the the Immigration Ordinance,” which resulted from her statement on Nov. 5, 2022 that she would work as a domestic helper for a certain Cho Ka kit.
“… you did make a representation, knowing the same to be
false or not believing the same to be true,” the complaint filed by the
Immigration Department said.

In the second charge, conspiracy to defraud, she also admitted to conspiring with a certain “Gege” from December 2024 to March 19, 2025 to defraud the Immigration director and his officers.
She was accused of “dishonestly and falsely representing”
that she was remaining in Hong Kong to work for a certain Choi Wa Yee, and thus
inducing the officers to grant her permission “under circumstances in which they
would not otherwise have granted such permission.”
